Orlando's Medical City

There are many new and exciting events going on in the Central Florida area and among these are the highlighted new “medical city”. The $80 million Burnham Institute and $70 million University of Central Florida Medical College are the lynch pins for this research and medical community but the medical city is not alone with these two entities because right along side them will be the new Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Nemours Children’s Hospital, and a town center for retail, residential, restaurants, office space, and outpatient facilities totaling over 7000 acres. This new “medical city” will create a strong clinical consortium in the Central Florida area with already being existing health care system like Florida Hospital and Orlando Healthcare.
