The second annual International Brain Conference will be coming to the heart of the world’s most famous tourist destination, Orlando, on January 25 - 27, 2008. The three-day event, presented by the University of Central Florida, will feature scientist and clinicians from some of the world’s leading researchers.
Lectures will present the latest research foci and treatment modalities, giving participants a unique exposure to the entire spectrum of brain research. Although our main focus still remains in the Alzheimer’s disease research, this year we will extend our conference topic to developmental disorders. With more American children than ever afflicted with autism, there is an urgent need for investigation of the brain’s role in this developmental disorder. Also, an increased understanding of developmental processes may help to control regeneration of the brain in age-associated diseases. Thus, our next conference will focus on exploring the relationship between the aging brain and pediatric disorders.
The conference theme, Regeneration Through the Generations, will offer participants the opportunity to explore regenerative therapy for neurological diseases over the course of a lifetime and will give physicians, scientists, pharmaceuticals, medical device manufacturers, nurses, allied medical professionals and students the unique opportunity to learn about the absolute latest in brain research and practice, and to discuss the future applications.
All conference activities will be held in the Rosen Centre Hotel in . Continuing medical education credits and sponsorship opportunities are available. For more information, contact Christa Santos at 407-882-1576 or researchinfo@mail.ucf.edu.
